Welcome To Vuglec Breg
Rooms & Suites
Everything "revived" or built at Vuglec Breg preserves the spirit of Zagorje tradition.
Accordingly, our accommodations include16 rooms and 3 apartments, with 50 beds all together, they are arranged so that the interior of each of the six cottages follows a traditional Zagorje story in a simple way.
Each one of them is different and suited to contemporary needs and comfort, in accordance with the standards of today's tourism.
The outside area is a story unto itself. The beautiful flowers and plants that grow around each cottage – Lac, Mica, Dragec, Imbra, Jana, and Jagica – add to its fairy-tale appearance, which truly captivates the viewer at first sight.
If you are wondering why our cottages and cabin bear old Zagorje names, it is because they are named after their former owners.
House ''Mica'' is an old wooden house standing on a stone basement called pelnica. It has one double bedroom and a wooden terrace. Its unique architectural shape and rustic style makes it especially romantic.
It still retains the spirit of the time in which it was built. Its rustic style, coupled with a combination of wood and rough, uneven facade gives the house the unique appearance of a ''beauty from days gone by''. The house has two floors with six luxuriously equipped and furnished double-rooms.
Apartment ''Lac'' is a traditional house of Zagorje. It retains its original shape but it has been adjusted to modern needs and comfort. The house has one apartment with four beds. It comprises a living room, a bathroom and a double room. Its historic look, rustic interior and old bread oven create a fable-like atmosphere.
House ''Dragec'' is an old traditional house which has been renovated. It stands above the other houses which gives it the appearance of a smaller manor house. It contains two separate 70 square metres apartments.
House Jagica, like all our houses, was built in the spirit of old times of the last century in an old rustic style. The house has two floors, with a total of eight luxuriously decorated double rooms as separated units. The rooms are furnished with beds that are separated but can be put together to a double bed. Each room has a terrace overlooking the picturesque village of Škarićevo and our vineyard.
